been waking with cold sweats/I get nightmares/vicious cycle that I just can’t shake/keep seeing old friends/but they’re all dead/and there ain’t no one here to dig their graves/or explain am I somehow to blame/cause they don’t ever let me get no sleep/I sit awake staring straight try to figure it out/take a stroll around the block try to calm myself down/back at home fully clothed try to close my eyes/before long they’ve got me trying to find you/are you proud you’ve got me walking in my sleep again (cold sweat)/raiding alleyways and turning over garbage cans so I can try to find your love/wake up hungry and tired with still no sign you’re alive (cold sweat)/are you proud you’ve got me walking in my sleep again/I just can’t stop/I’ve changed both locks/always finding new ways to escape/all these old friends/well they’re still dead/but they don’t ever seem to know your name/they just stand and shake my hand/but no one ever seems to point the way/I’ll scare the neighbours every night till I figure this out/walk the streets just like a zombie till I calm myself down/back at home fully clothed scared to close my eyes/I never know just where you’ll take me when this hearts on the hunt/flailing blindly in the night without a place I can run/I’ve got nowhere to go/are you proud you’ve got me walking in my sleep again (cold sweat)/raiding alleyways and turning over garbage cans so I can try to find your love/wake up hungry and tired with still no sign you’re alive (cold sweat)/are you proud you’ve got me walking in my sleep again/I just can’t stop/I’ve changed both locks/always finding new ways to escape/these cold sweats/cold sweats
