found me at the right place wrong time/had to try to make you all mine/everything I had you watched me throw it away/I never should have held you so tight/even though we tolerate these things won’t go away/even though we tried to make the best of what we had it didn’t matter/nothing seems to matter/with everybody talking so loud/it’s crazy how we lasted till now/there’s gossip on their teeth it changes every day/the royals of the streets wear no crowns/even though we tolerate these things won’t go away/even though we tried to make the best of what we had it didn’t matter/nothing seemed to matter when/you we’re always getting high/and so was I/cigarettes on cold nights dumb fights/early morning Queen West sunrises/hoping that tomorrow brings a change in your ways/hoping I can figure out at least try/even though we tolerate these things won’t go away/even though we tried to make the best of what we had it didn’t matter/nothing seemed to matter when/you we’re always getting high/and so was I/we’re both addicted to destroying what we know might get us there/we’re both addicted to destroying what we now we’d want/it’s so sad we’re just looking for a better half/something better but nothing seems to matter/we were always getting high/no one seemed to mind
